Ubuntu FF 3.0 locks up after installing Greasemonkey if Firebug 1.2.0b3 is also present

Description

I'm running Firefox 3 on Ubuntu Hardy Heron. When I install Firebug 1.2.0b3, everything works great until I attempt to also install greasemonkey 0.8.20080609.0.

When I restart firefox after adding greasemonkey, firefox begins to open my tabs, then locks up tight as a drum. If I wait several minutes I may get one page update; then it's locked solid again.

If I disable firebug, then add greasemonkey again, greasemonkey is fine and my browser does not lock up. As soon as I reenable firebug... boom, lockup.

Thanks for your time - I have also reported this issue to Firebug.

Repeated with Ubuntu 8.04, still works fine.
